San Diego Preview

I'm lucky enough that every summer I get to travel to San Diego for a
week. Every time, my priorities change. Since this is a business trip,
the first priority is always being at a conference, but after that,
"Sunny D" has more to offer than anywhere else.

Two years ago, I was alone and tried to get in as much surfing as
physically possible. I think I still have the salt rash. Last year,
the wife and kid came along, so they took priority over surfing. I also
ran more and Huck and I swam in the open ocean.

This year, I'm not even bringing a surfboard, but I still have very high
hopes for what might be a defining moment in my life: I am on course to
swim with the best collective group of athletes with which I've ever shared a pool.

Triscoop.com member Jdub is meeting up with me after I arrive and after
we have some celebratory beer and tacos, we will discuss the time and
date where I can waltz into the North County YMCA and pay a measly $5 to
join the world's top pros for their workout. I have to say that I'm
very excited and I've been preparing for several weeks. Lifting
weights, long workouts, and doing sprint workouts with the local
badasses are all part of my prep to not be slaughtered and left for dead
in the Rehab Lane.

Aside from that workout, my mission is to interview Jdub about his
goals in triathlon (this dude is pro material), swim in the ocean again,
and do some gym climbing, and work on my show and website.

Strange how things change but stay the same...

That will be cool. Make sure to take pictures of the pros!!! Have a blast and tell Jdub I said "wassup"...

Hey Brett,
I really like the music you are using when you and Emily are talking about voting for your show. Who is it and where can one purchase it?
Thanks!

That music is "Pent Up" by CBA. I found it at Garageband.com. I think it's a free download. If you air it, be sure to quote the source!
