It's Kevin Rose talking about Thich Nhat Hanh's "When washing dishes, only wash dishes" that I mention so much on my own show. Very cool to see such an Internet superstar talking about the same thing I do.

Zen is being adopted at an incredible rate by today's Americans. It's a perfect storm that is better described in a whole other post. Anyway, I expect to see the dishwashing referenced more and more and Alan Watts' "It is what it does." Very cool!

what a great post. I am a 7/8th grade teacher and I talked about and used part of the post that you made to talk to my students about mindfulness. They loved it (although I am not sure if they fully understood it) and can't wait to do something like it again. Thanks for making my job easy.

On your last podcast, you were riding along and talking. What kind of mic were you using? I've tried for years to get a bike/mic/mobile combination that would allow me to talk to someone on the phone. Running is OK, because of the slower speed. Is there a mic/headset that would work with an iPhone to allow you to talk/listen/ride?

Pete - I use an olympus ws-320 recorder. I usually don't record via the phone. But, there are headphones that come with the iphone that have a mic built in the cord. They work great for casually riding/walking and talking at the same time.
