Friday Fun

Just in time for the launch of the new Apple iPad, you can score yourself book a holder for your bike for only $20.  Make sure you don't cruise don't the street while in the iTunes store.  Keep it indoors, bro.

How to Make Almond Milk with Devin

ZenTri Base Camp attendee Devin made a great video about how to make almond milk at home.  Regular milk and dairy products can cause asthma in many triathletes, so this is smart trick to know how to execute.  Thanks, Devin!

100 Mile Ride with Hirsch and Guru

John Hirsch, Christine Lynch, and I went out for a 100 miler yesterday and it was GORGEOUS!  We recorded video along the way, talking about nutrition and other fun stuff.

We celebrated properly by going out to dinner at the awesome hippie joint, Village Cafe and Emily and Christine getting piercings.

Podcast - Zen Lecture from ZenTri Base Camp

ZenTri Base Camp was a great opportunity to sit down and discuss how Zen can be applied to triathlon training and racing.  This recording covers the full spectrum; Letting go, fear, gear, leaning into difficulties, and much, much more.

The talk was given as one of many efforts to teach campers to step back and reassess their training early in the season.  We spent a lot of time undoing the knots many of us get twisted in after years of being hammered with other people's ideas about how to train and what being healthy means.
