What would you do with this bike?

Blink140.2 is giving me this sweet 1973 Schwinn Varsity for me to do with whatever I want. It is so perfect, I almost don't want to mess with it. Alas, it weighs a ton and has so much potential as either a classic fixie or commuter.

I was at my LBS earlier this week and they had a similar green Specialized commuter that was stunning. I mean, the thing was coooool. It was a Specialized Langster Seattle.

This thing is super cool when viewed in person. It even has wood fenders and a bottle cage mounted to the bars for your coffee.

I've got the spare flat bar and can swap a seat out. Minimal investment and I might have something really cool! What do you guys think?

Jim from “The Office” Biking to Work

Granted, he's doing it to attract annoy his cute female coworker, but he's biking all the same.

His reasoning is that his boss does it (and rides even farther), it saves gas, and it's a good workout.

Downside? You get really, really sweaty.

I was stoked to see a main character in a hit TV show biking to work. They did it in a way that makes biking look cool. The hot chick smiles at him and says, "Nice basket."

No doubt a few people watching that episode will give it a try.

Yesterday - Rest day

Tuesday - 34 minute run with some pushups

Going in early tomorrow to get some extra work done. We'll see how the working out goes.

Started loading in workouts to Suunto software to track fitness. More info as it unfolds!

Re-release of Rocky Raccoon 100 Video (2005)

I've been getting some requests for this, so I dug it up and put it on the Podshow servers for all to enjoy. I'll pop it out as an actual podcast in a few days after the Caveman episode gets some breathing room.

Dumpster Rock

Holy crap, this post never got published!  Backdate this sucker a couple of weeks, bros!

Ah, nothing like a chilly bike ride in the Tex-ass countryside to kick off a great show. This one is a real roller coaster ride. I play homemade death metal, interview Emily about me diving into a dumpster to retrieve some triathlete gold, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Caveman Running and 2007 Triscoopie Awards

I recorded myself trail running the other day and got all metaphysical - pretending I was a caveman running down prey with my trusty domesticated wolf.

Tacked on to that is Huck and I announcing the much anticipated Triscoopie awards. We recorded it high above an auditorium as the crowd laughs, boos, and claps for the winners.

Lastly, my new neighbor wanted to be on the show, so I interviewed him on what it was like being a New Texan. He's a really funny guy, so enjoy!
