Andrea Fisher Interview Part 2
Monday, January 9, 2006 at 7:58PM Prof. Erich and I conducted our second interview with professional triathlete Andrea Fisher this Sunday and you can get the audio here. It was a great conversation with a relaxed tone, allowing us to discuss all kinds of topics; from heart rate monitors to bike frame materials. We discussed triathlon and other hobbies for a total of 45 minutes!
I also mentioned that Garmin has just released the 305. If you were planning on buying the 201 or 301, better hold off and check the 305 out here.
Next show will include audio from a caller in NYC about a special bike adapter for traveling, Erich and I talking about our surf trip, and news of a possible second Zentri TV episode about Javelin bikes.

For those of you who don't know, Dave Scott is arguably the greatest triathlete of all time. This is a rare opportunity to see such a great athlete in person. So if you're going to be in the Ottawa area on January 21, I recommend you check it out.

Hey Brett! Great interview with Anderea.
I ordered the 305 last week. Shipments are supposed to start in Feb. Also, for any of you MAC users (like me) Garmin announced today that their training software amd MotionBased will be compatible with MAC OS X this spring! A huge plus over Polar and others.
Feel free to post info like Garmin news and Dave Scott lectures all you want. Not a problem!

Ok Brett, I have listening to the show a few times looking for the easteregg and ( not working at my desk) and have decided that the egg had to come from you or the professor not Andrea. I heard a slight twinge in your voice regarding the Frapper map and the new listener in Turkey so that made sense as you could put an egg there to be found...alas the site is FUBAR and does not seem to work for me so that is my guess but unable to find it on the map as website down.
If that is not is can we get a clue??? good game/

Actually, I've gotten word that Javelin wants us to make a video like we did for Giant. More videos coming soon!

I found the Easter Egg! When I saw it the first time I thought it might be a game, but hadn't heard you promote one so I blew it off. Now that I'm reading about people trying to find an "easter egg" it made me remember where I saw it.
The easter egg is located in i-tunes in the Andrea Fisher interview file under more info. I went there to look at your show notes but found the easter egg instead.

Still loving the show but you might want to be careful who you promote. Their attitude and how they carry themselves in the outside of your show could be a bad reflection on you and your show.
Keep up the good work.

To the person who was too cowardly to reveal their identity,
Andrea is one of the most down to earth people I know. On top of that she's a fantastic coach, athlete and person.
"In the outside of [the] show", Andrea (and her husband) are WAY generous to the triathlon community. They volunteer for a lot of races, even race directing IronKids, provide free workshops, speak at club meetings, write articles for club newsletters and are quite supportive of the everyday athlete.
PS - Why don't you see if you can get on the show for 45 minutes. Then we'll thank you for your time by letting other cowardly people can take shots at you, too.
