Go Cav! Update

Ok, we're getting really close. $8 more bucks gives us the $450 for Cav to make it to Ironman Australia. To be honest, paypal takes a tiny percentage off the top, so any little bit extra covers the $25 or so bucks for transfer charges. Convenience costs! Either way, this has been a huge success and has amazed everybody involved. Here's the chart (Yes, I realize it's ugly as hell. We're cheap here at the Go Cav! foundation) and the names of the latest donors:

Drew "Starbuck" - Cav's next to last mile
Rippin' Roberto - support cav's ironman bid
Jeffery (AKA CAV the original flava AKA C-Unit AKA Dugan Fife) - Go Cav
"Totally Aero" Kevin - Cav down under

Cav, I'll send you the money when I get a few more minutes. Probably this weekend.

I Love the Go Cave Totalizer.
Glad to be of help. I keep listening to Cav's broadcast about the IM qualifer awesome. It keeps me spured on training for IM South Africa in the cold dark murk up here in Scotland.67 Days to go and not a single 100 mile ride in yet. Now starting to get woried.Current average temp about 25Deg F.now I know why all the pros go south for the winter. Rain, Wind and 7 hours of daylight make bike traing tricky.
All the best Brett

This is me giving everyone a HUGE (Billy Fucillo "HUGE!!")thank you for all of the support.

I specifically want to thank the 3rd coast genius for coming up with the idea - thanks Brett!

I've been thinking about how I can keep everyone updated with my training and progress, as well as just general things about taking on the Ironman distance - let me know if you have any ideas or things that you want to hear about.

Brett, I'm going to look into that Gizmo Proj so that we could mix in a couple interviews and chats about what's going on down under.

I think I'll be saying this for quite a while - thank you for all your support.

I think some one out there should get Cav a Zen tri top with Zen on the front and the sponsors names ( US!!!) on the back so we can get a picture when he is on the podium!!!!

I definitely like the idea of Cav wearing a Zentri race jersey in his Ironman (that is, if Cav is okay with it).

Do I hear a Zentri logo design contest coming up?

Cav, some suggestions. (1) The Sri Chinmoy Ultra Tri ( 15km / 400km / 100km ) this year you can relay each leg as a team (of up to 7) so why not get together with 2 others then perhaps each of you do 2*2.5 km swims , 4 * 33.3 km rides and a 6,11,11,5 run set. Perhaps do it solo next year when you tell people how far the ultra legs are they freak, more surprisingly even IRONMEN freak.

Oh, and another great race if you mountain bike is the triple triathlon.

Leg 1: Swim 1.5 Km
Leg 2: Mountain Bike 35 Km
Leg 3: Run 20 Km
Leg 4: Swim 3.5 Km
Leg 5: Mountain Bike 40 Km
Leg 6: Run 12 Km
Leg 7: Swim 1.2 Km
Leg 8: Mountain Bike 24 Km
Leg 9: Run 13 Km

Its probably the week before the world long distance champs here in Canberra. You can relay this one on a leg by leg basis.
