Nice morning!

Tip: can you pan a bit slower? That way more of the beauty of your surroundings comes across!

4-5 hours of training PER DAY is what it takes to get to ironman? That's like a half-time job. I gotta stick with being a 70.3-hopeful...

Will do! No, 4 to 5 hours per day on the weekend, 2 hours on weekdays.

That's still 18 hours a week. Shouldn't it be possible to train to compLete (as opposed to compete) in an Ironman in less than that?

November 2, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJakob Thusgaard

Sure. You can train for one with 12. But then you'll be out on the race course for nearly 17 hours. 17 extremely painful hours. You'll find a few people that do it in less, bit they usually have decades of training behind them and are the exceptions to the rule. A pro triathlete probably could not train for a year and still do a 13 hour ironman.
