Swimming Long with an Olympian!
Jamaican Olympic swimmer Jevon Atkinson joined me for a brutal set of 40 x 100 yards on a 1:25 interval (no rest) at our local outdoor pool. As a sprinter, he was a little worried about going that far, but we both rocked it! We ended up doing a 1:23 pace, well under the 60 minute mark for a full Ironman swim (4225 yards, or 2.4 miles)
We captured the before and after of the swim, talking about "what it takes" to go long. As you can see, there is a lot of psychology in distance swimming. What do you think of when in the water that long? Find out!
I wrap up the video with discussion about nutrition, form, and a quick cameo by Roxy.

The vids rock! you should make them part of the podcast so I can download them onto the ipd for remote viewing when on a trip.....super cool though!
keep it up!
Thanks! I think at the very least, my audio podcasts will contain the audio from the videos. Killing two birds with one stone. Kind of a cool concept.
I also add them to my TV where I use Boxee and watch them later on the big screen:
