How to Swim Faster with Fewer Strokes.

It's all about the glide after the push off the wall...

Reader Comments (1)

Gave this a try at my local swim club last night. The key really is to get a good 'pop' off the wall or you just end up not going anywhere. I have a bad habit of breathing out as i do my turn and this causes me to run out of air forcing me to the surface faster than i would like. Another trick to do if you can is to take your first stroke before you take your first breath; this allows your forwad momentum to carry on rather then applying the brakes by pausing to breathe. You just need to get the breathing right prior to the turn.

Great vid Bret, cheers
