Quick Update (I Survived!)

Hey, rockstars!  The blog has been a little quiet lately because I caught bronchitis right after the Rocky Raccoon 100.  It felt like I had been hit by a truck and had a 102 degree fever with a hacking cough.  I was still smiling, though. :)

Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better and will get everybody a proper race report soon.  Not only that, but I'm already working on a video and podcast all about the race!

Here is a link to the results, showing me at 26:07 and in the top 3rd if you count the whopping 40% DNF rate.  This was one tough event.

I do have one impression from RR100 that I can go ahead and share now -- It definitely changes you as an individual.  When you have run 100 miles, you realize that there are no excuses left.  Anything you aren't getting done is within your abilities to make happen.  And I also believe that anybody can run 100 miles.  It was 99% willpower and timing, not fitness.

I'll leave you with that and will return with some cool audio and vids shortly.
