Podcast 626 - IM Wales Champion Darbi Roberts and Big Swimming with Mike Derksen

Join me for a detailed chat with pro triathlete Darbi Roberts on how she used better fat metabolism to win Ironman Wales on just 100 calories per hour!  We discuss her daily diet, training and racing strategies, and how she handles racing while working full time as an Assistant Dean at Columbia University.

Joining in for the second interview of the show is Michael Derksen.  We talk about strategies for his (and maybe your) next big open water swimming race.

Then we dive into some audio from a kids triathlon in Galveston where they swam in a water park's "lazy river."  After that, some thoughts on getting triathlon done while trying to adult and help out on Boy Scout campouts.

Enjoy!
