Cereal Run

Nice morning run with Kona. One hour, 6.61 mi. Started out in the very dark, saw some lightning on the southern horizon. No sun, but still very warm and humid. Low blood sugar due to eating Ezekiel cereal beforehand. That wore off after a while and HR graph shows nice improvement as run went on. Looking to eat less or with more space beforehand.
Weight is very difficult to take off. Looking for inspiration to eat better. I can feel the extra 10 lbs. banging my feet and knees harder into the pavement.

The sound of birds better than music.
Sliver of White
Friday, August 26, 2011 at 8:09AM Sliver of white on the underside of the moon.
Running south, the breeze picks up.
Kona jumps in and out of the pond, then leads the way.
Podcast - Swimming Across Lake Tahoe
Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 10:00AM
Join me and swimming superstar Jamie Patrick as we swim 22 miles across Laket Tahoe! We have audio clips from the swim, a review of all the tech that went into the event, and much more.
This was a truly incredible swim. The lake is one mile longer than the English Channel, at 6,300 feet elevation, and chilling at around 62 degrees. I became the 24th person ever to complete the crossing and the first Texan as well!
