I do the backpedaling on downhills (sometimes) and have done a three-hour ride with no fuel.  I had to go to the doctor after that one.  I was seeing spots from dehydration.  Turns out, you drink a lot of water with your fuel.

Tuesday Tri News and Notes

"Dimond adds influential triathletes Rapp & Thomas to help take their triathlon superbike even further into the future.

DES MOINES, IA Dimond Bikes, operating as part of Rüster Sports, LLC is pleased to announce a five year partnership with five-time Ironman Champion and ITU Long Distance World Champion, Jordan Rapp as well as four-time Wildflower Champion and two-time Ironman 70.3 Champion, Jesse Thomas."

More about them here with a cool video.

I also snagged a screengrab of how many hours Helle Frederiksen works out in a week. Keep in mind most of that is at an easy pace, not hard.

(Hi-tech screengrab software, I know.)

Lastly, a great trainer video of women's crit racing. It gets really intense!
