The Quickening

ZENTRI BASE AND NUTRITION CAMP IS STARTING TOMORROW!

We've got professional triathletes, coaches, health and medical experts, and ultra distance gurus all descending into College Station, TX for four days of total awesomeness.  Can you feel the buzz?

We will start of the day tomorrow with a short meet and greet, then go right to the grocery store for a lesson on how to shop for healthy food.  The rest of the day will be a mix of motivational talks, training, and eating the awesome food.

Athletes will get a special treat while working out, because we will be video taping their form for review on day two.

Watch this page for continuous updates and even videos showing what's going on.  Whatever you do, don't watch John Hirsch's blog because our blogs have declared total war on each other.  You really wouldn't read his anyway, right?  I'm not saying his blog bullied kittens daily since January 1, 2009, but if it did, you wouldn't want to read it, for sure.

You don't have time to NOT work out!

Check out the latest episode of the Science2Health podcast to hear an interesting perspective on time.  It goes like this:

  1. People say that they don't have time to exercise.
  2. Lack of exercise makes you droopy and generally lame.
  3. Exercise energizes you and give you the ability to focus more and last throughout the day at a higher output level.
  4. The time lost to working out is actually less than the extra stuff you get done when you are more energized.

How about that?  When you are more energized from having a regular workout schedule, you need less time to get all your stuff done!

Sound interesting?  Check out this article about how sleeping less will make you exercise less.  Don't hold out on those Z's!
